As of the 1st of July 2005 Maritime Safety Queensland introduced the new BoatSafe training scheme.  From this date it is a requirement by law to do a course of instruction with a  Training Provider accredited by Queensland Transport.

The facility to do a straight test with a Private Testing Officer is no longer available.

Courses are conducted in accordance with National Training Standards and the facility of R.P.L. ( Recognition of Prior Learning) will be available for those with skills and knowlege to reduce time spent doing a course.

Company Profile

All Australian Boating is the trading name of Hervey Bay Marine Training Centre (HBMTC).  With the expansion of our business to cover the needs of recreational and commercial boat operators Queensland-wide a more generic name was required that was suitable for all our trainers across the State and soon - across the country.

Hervey Bay Marine Training Centre is proud to be a member of the Boating Industry Association of Queensland (BIA) and BoatSafe Training Association of Queensland. Our trainers continually work towards excellence in tune with the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct as set out by the BIA.

Since inception in 1997, HBMTC has won many accolades and awards.  Most notable of these is the Fraser Coast Business Awards where HBMTC achieved a win over all other businesses in the 'Fishing, Boating, Outdoor' section in its very first year of operations.

In subsequent years HBMTC has gone on to win a total of six more annual awards including winner in the Services industry business with 0-5 staff and a Highly Commended Award.

We now have established Trainers throughout coastal and country Queensland.  Our Trainers continually upgrade their skills and training techniques as well as maintain current knowlege of changing rules and regulations.  As members of the BoatSafe Training Association of Queensland, All Australian Boating trainers actively seek to help set and maintain quality standards in the industry and provide feedback to Government Departments, including Maritime Safety Queensland, on recreational boat operators' concerns and proposed changes in maritime legislation.
